I've been running a 383 v8 for 25 years and have run the options from sock rubber to R.Tyler. Tyler mount offered a quieter ride. I combined ot with the stock rubber and was excellent for years. Combo finally started to show its age and mostly because Nissan mount was sagging a bit. I wanted to try this one, seems lightweight and questionable claim of quieter than either. It's not quieter and definitely transmits sounds from my previously quiet R200. I'm not opposed to the noise if it supports better, my exhaust, solid roller cam, FI electric pump, but this is the whirring, gear noise that comes with solid contact noise conduction. If this is your refined and quiet ride, nope. If it proves to be able to handle the torque I've been running, great. I have my doubts as one stud vs my previous top and bottom support seems redundant but strong. I have a gripe with the copy and paste images used to advertise this piece, numerous vendors btw. Pretty pictures of the mount in glamor shots, but whomever used some filthy beater differential with the old leather top strap retainer, showing the mount installation backwards (!) as a sales pitch. Damn, where are your qc standards? I could offer beautiful high def images showing a clean installation, correct placement among robust companion components. Anyway, I hope it does its job as well as the last countless years using the Ron Tyler/ +Stock combo I've been using.
