First gen Tundras are beasts in terms of power, reliability and durability. However, factory brakes were, simply, not good enough. From 2000 to 2002, we suffered from small front brake calipers, but the worst part were the rear drum brakes and its non-working adjuster. I took the shot and installed this conversion kit. Installation was relatively simple if you have a bit of experience turning nuts in your garage. So far, brakes are working great, pedal feels firm when you press it and the truck stops just fine.
My only gripe is the parking brake lines have to be routed using your imagination, trying to avoid the suspension and other components, while keeping them protected from the road debris, but this is part of the fun .
Overall, a great conversion if you plan to keep your old Tundra, drive it for thousands of miles and then have your yet unborn great-grandchildren keep driving it while you watch them from heaven (or hell, we don't judge).
Mad that I haven't done this sooner!! I focused most of my build on the Ls swap and all the supporting mods. I should of done the coilovers first! The ride is smooth and comfortable while maintaining precision around the twisty roads. Im extremely happy with them and I cant state enough....dont worry about the horsepower, exhaust and all the other power adders. Get the ride right, height level correct and enjoy comfort! Definitely recommend these.

Did not come with the $5 conversion fitting needed for this install. Now the whole project is at a standstill for one simple fitting. Its not about the price its about finding the correct fitting elsewhere or having to deal with back and forth parts if not the right fit.

Excellent kit. A couple of videos for reference and everything fit well. I had to go up to a 16in wheel to clear the caliper but that was expected. Wheel fitment is still a concern, wish Silvermine would provide a few successful recipes for hub centric adapters, or perhaps some known rim combos that work well. The kit itself is high quality.
Good part. The mounting brackets required a little trim to sit flush, but expected with the age of the car.

I would of loved if a hardware kit was available such as the mounting hardware m12-1.25 x35mm with out buying the entire kit
That allows the d21 caliper to mount onto the brackets .
The brackets are a nice quality piece that I would buy again in the future if needed
Datsun 510 front Wilwood brake upgrade kit fits sedan and wagon models - smaller 10 inch rotors - fits 14 inch wheels easy
Many slip-on 4x114.3 wheel spacers are available w/66-68mm ID, but Silvermine's have the 73mm ID you need for Datsun S30 rear hub clearance.
Have Silvermine's Dynalite S30 big brake kit with dual caliper rear for cable handbrake. 16" Panasports clear this kit no problem. But needed these spacers in rear for the Z Car Garage Panasport 15" spare tire kit. 15" spare is narrower and just contacts on face of Silvermine Dynalite calipers. (Cable ebrake clears just fine). Tucked down by spare when needed. Great solution if you found Z Car Garage as a solution for spare to fit BBK.

Bought these caliper brackets to use with 326 Power big brake kit. Had to design and machine new adapter brackets for calipers. Required some clearancing on knuckle. Very high quality part. Should do the trick! 95Zenki240#

This new one will go in our other 354 for long track.
We have had no issues at all with our first one, that’s we bought another.
Pretty sure it’s one of the best.
Most other units wouldn’t be able to handle the abuse we give it!!

This is the perfect budget big brake kit. Edan was super helpful across the board and very responsive. Not necessarily the 2 hour job advertised, but it works great and isn’t too big of a job to do at home. Definitely recommend if you need to upgrade stopping on your e30.
Attention to quality is evident when you open the shipping box. My order was backordered.
